A Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, replacing glass in windows and doors, installing window screens, and meeting company safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive up to 6 hours in a single day to complete service jobs.
- Replace glass in windows or doors, install window screens, and perform other related tasks.
- Conduct job site walk-throughs, complete necessary paperwork, and identify areas for improvement.
- Meet company safety requirements by maintaining a clean work area, following safety protocols, and reporting any safety concerns.
- Perform and complete service jobs on Showcase Window and Door Company products in the field.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in the field.
- Provide customers with helpful information on the care and maintenance of their Showcase Window products.
- Generate and update service-related records in the Service Module.
- Conduct follow-up service work or communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collect customer payments as required.
- Identify and order parts as needed through the Service Module.
- Load service vans with necessary parts and equipment on a weekly basis.
- Abide by company policies and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.
- May be asked to assist in training new Field Service Technicians or employees in other departments.
- Maintain assigned service vehicles.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or company to support company goals.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to drive up to 6 hours in a single day.
- Ability to use and read maps.
- Window and/or door experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift pounds.
- Ability to work off a ladder up to 40 feet.
- Able to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required.
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Great communication skills to work with customers.
- Amazing problem-solving skills.
- A technical degree is preferable.
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment.
- Great mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate in English.
