Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at UW Medical Foundation. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing moderately complex diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing. You will also perform preventative maintenance on select laboratory equipment or instruments and promote a culture of safety for patients through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention of medical errors.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic tests and limited high complexity testing
  • Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Promote a culture of safety for patients
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
  • 1 year experience as Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience
  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists or similar agency
