Job Title: Intensive Care Unit Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse. As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. You will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in an ICU setting, providing physician-directed care, assessing and implementing patient care plans, and delegating to other care providers as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic bedside care, including preparing and administering medications, and recording vital signs.
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Take samples for lab work and order corresponding lab work.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, such as ventilators and cardiac monitors.
  • Communicate patients' conditions to family members and provide education and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York.
  • 1-2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting.
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
