Key Responsibilities- Schedule and Coordinate Meetings: Arrange in-person and remote meetings with clients, their lawyers, and potential litigation funding companies.
- Support Business Development: Assist in coordinating marketing events and business development efforts to help companies, law firms, and individuals obtain funding for litigation.
- Perform Legal Research: Conduct research and writing to analyze potential litigation investment opportunities and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage Case Files: Maintain organized records and case files in our case management system.
- Provide Administrative Support: Offer general administrative support to the legal and business development teams as needed.
- Paralegal Certificate or Equivalent Experience: A paralegal certificate or equivalent experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal.
- Litigation Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or legal services setting; litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal databases like Westlaw or LexisNexis a plus.
- Professional Demeanor: Professional, service-oriented demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
- Authorization to Work: Authorized to work in the United States.
