Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a Medical/Surgical Unit. This role is ideal for professionals looking to expand their experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in a Med/Surg unit.
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:6.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Open to first-time travel nurses.
  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend.
  • No on-call duties are expected.
  • Floating within the unit may be necessary to meet patient care needs.
  • Local candidates are not eligible (must reside at least 75 miles from the facility).
  • Pending licenses are accepted.
  • Limit of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract.
  • Guaranteed hours are provided.
  • Special requirements include experience in MS/Tele, caring for patients with diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule-outs, and non-active chemotherapy cancer patients. Note: Surgical patients are not included in this unit's care.
Job Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Missouri State License as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting is required.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) is essential.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts are to start within a specified timeframe.
  • Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
  • No on-call shifts are part of this role.
  • Block scheduling is not available.
Unit Specific Information
  • This unit does not provide care for surgical patients.
  • The typical patient demographic includes those with diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule-outs, and cancer patients not undergoing current chemotherapy.
  • Experience in MS/Tele is preferred.
Additional Information
  • MS/Tele experience is highly regarded.
