We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team at Butler & Associates, P.A. Our company is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services and we require an organized and detail-oriented individual to support our attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality of matters and establish good working relationships with clients, court personnel, and other parties.
  • Calendaring, maintaining deadlines, and attorney calendars.
  • Draft pleadings, prepare and e-file documents, and enter information accurately in our database.
Requirements:
  • Organized with strong prioritization skills.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including spelling, grammar, email, and phone etiquette.
  • Able to work independently and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of federal and state electronic filing requirements.
  • Familiarity with state laws relevant to each file or case.
  • Maintain daily tasks to move claims and cases towards resolution.
  • Prepare correspondence, legal pleadings, and other related documents.
  • Maintain account confidentiality and private personal information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, and Adobe PDF.
  • Typing speed greater than 50 wpm.
  • Experience in a legal office and/or insurance industry is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $18-$21 hourly based on experience.
