We are seeking a dedicated individual who is proficient in both English and Spanish to join our team as a Cashier Customer Service Representative. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to assist customers with their purchases in a timely and precise manner. This role requires a reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented person who thrives in a dynamic work environment, whether working independently or collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently.
  • Efficiently process point-of-sale transactions.
  • Handle various payment methods, including credit cards, cash, and checks, ensuring accurate change is provided.
  • Prepare daily financial reports and reconcile cash drawers.
  • Manage incoming calls and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and secure work area.
  • Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in a cashier role.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic math skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Availability to work designated shifts, including weekdays and rotating weekends.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in wholesale environments, particularly in garden centers or nurseries.
  • Educational background or experience in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular use of hands for handling and communication, frequent standing and reaching, and occasional walking, sitting, climbing, and balancing. Candidates must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.

Work Environment:

Employees may encounter wet or humid conditions and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the workplace is typically loud.
