This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who share your commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant - Critical Care, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities">
  • ">
  • Provide assistance with patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding">
  • Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data, and document in patient records">
  • Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars, routine urine and stool specimen collection, ostomy care, and emptying drainage receptacles/tubes">
  • Remove peripheral IV's as directed by RN (may not remove any IV's located in antecubital fossa or higher)">
  • Deliver meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements">
  • Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program">
  • Answer patient call lights and perform services that add to the physical well-being of the patient">
  • Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers">
Requirements">

To be successful in this role, you will need to be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) and provide proof of completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing, (or equivalent). You should also have knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures and aseptic practices, as well as excellent communication skills.

Salary and Benefits">

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $45,000, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, prescription coverage, paid time off, extended illness days, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
