Shuttle Van Driver Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to auto haulers in the designated terminal location, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Perform daily shuttle van safety checks, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Operate the shuttle van, adhering to established policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Assist dispatch with efficiency and organization, reducing risk of injuries and improving overall terminal operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Ability to rapidly analyze issues, establish priorities, and make decisions.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations, and safety.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to provide positive reinforcement and possess a positive attitude.
Working Conditions:

The Shuttle Van Driver will work in a fast-paced terminal environment, exposed to various weather conditions, and may be required to work overtime, weekends, or holidays.

The FLSA status of this position is: Non-Exempt.

The Shuttle Van Driver reports to the Terminal Manager.
