We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a contracted facility in Manitowoc, WI.

Job Summary:

  • Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a diverse patient population.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct screenings to identify voice or speech disorders and provide education to patients and family members.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders, and develop treatment plans to address these issues.
  • Communication and Education: Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and their causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Problem-Solving: Effective clinical problem-solving skills, including identifying and prioritizing issues, developing sound action plans, and executing plans on a timely basis.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse population.
  • Education and Certification: Master's degree in Speech Pathology and certification in accordance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requirements.
  • Experience: Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting is required, with Rehab Optima experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • State License: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license in the designated geographic area.
  • ASHA Certification: Certification in accordance with ASHA requirements.
