Manufacturing Engineer I

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer I to join our team at Regal Rexnord. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical process support to our bearings operations, working in a lean manufacturing environment. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve manufacturing/machining processes and manage various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean concepts, process improvement techniques, and performance excellence tools. Additionally, they will work closely with site and functional leadership to develop current and future Value Streams, standard work, and sustained stability to achieve operating goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and implement process improvements utilizing lean concepts, such as 6s, defect reduction, and effective daily management.
- Exemplify the culture of continuous improvement and simplification across the organization.
- Develop as a site/functional team member through training, Kaizens, and RBS tools to effectively utilize performance tools, methodologies, and philosophies to drive performance excellence.
- Work with site or functional leadership to develop current and future Value Streams, standard work, and sustained stability to achieve operating goals.
- Reduce scrap and non-conformances by eliminating waste and variation in all forms.
- Drive root cause corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
- Assist operators in resolving set-up, tooling, and fixture problems, special processes, and selection of proper tooling and grinding wheels.
- Develop, maintain, and implement process routings and set-up instructions for the production of parts and assemblies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Materials.
- 0 to 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while adjusting to changing priorities and project lists.
- Team-oriented with the ability to influence others without authority.
