Position Overview: The Janitor will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within the facility. Responsibilities include daily cleaning and stocking of restrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal as needed. The position also involves assisting in the setup of tables for events and church activities, along with general building maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and replacing air filters. Additionally, the Janitor may be tasked with picking up donated food items from local establishments and participating in various seasonal initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Minimum of one year of experience in janitorial and maintenance roles
  • Must obtain a Yavapai County Food Handlers permit
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License required
  • Completion of the Salvation Army's Fleet Safety Program is necessary
  • Employment contingent upon passing a criminal background check

Physical Requirements:

Individuals must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. A qualified person with a disability may request modifications to the job or work environment to meet physical requirements. While fulfilling job duties, employees are regularly required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms continuously. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
