Job Overview

Position: Project Supervisor/Foreman (Low Voltage)

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Project Supervisor/Foreman (Low Voltage) to oversee our operations. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in low voltage electrical systems and will be responsible for guiding a team of technicians to ensure project completion within designated timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze specialized system blueprints and industry symbols.
  • Design and execute cable routing plans.
  • Manage a workforce of up to 30 technicians across various teams engaged in diverse tasks.
  • Demonstrate expertise in installation techniques for Category 5e/6/6a, coaxial, fiber optic, CATV, MATV, Central Office, Data Center, and outside plant construction.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and proper installation methods during the deployment of direct burial, underground, and aerial cable systems.
  • Install, maintain, and test Security/CCTV system components effectively.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to track labor time sheets, project safety documentation, material packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain precise records of project activities, including work orders, time sheets, and comprehensive project reports.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee project schedules and financial plans, guaranteeing timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Engage in regular communication with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any emerging concerns.

Management Competencies:

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical systems.
  • Provide training and mentorship to technicians, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge for effective job performance.
  • Evaluate job projection reports and assess hours relative to project completion.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in Low Voltage Structured Cabling Systems.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and allocate personnel to specific tasks for projects involving up to thirty (30) technicians.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Certification in at least five industry-specific manufacturer training courses.
  • Current BICSI Technician Certificate or equivalent practical experience is required.
