Position Overview

The Mobility Coordinator is responsible for transporting participants enrolled at RH Community Builders to various appointments throughout the day. This role also includes the delivery and collection of supplies and medications as required. The incumbent is tasked with maintaining vehicle cleanliness, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring scheduled maintenance is performed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles safely and responsibly, employing defensive driving techniques while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Transport individuals, supplies, and equipment to designated locations with care and professionalism.
  • Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, providing respectful and courteous support as necessary.
  • Keep precise records of vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and trip documentation.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and operational readiness.
  • Facilitate transportation for participants to all scheduled appointments arranged by case managers.
  • Provide transportation for support staff alongside participants to appointments when required.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of all company protocols, results, and participant information across all settings.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Valid California Driver's License with a minimum of 5 years of driving experience
  • At least one (1) year of documented experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage compassionately with diverse populations.
  • Strong customer service aptitude, capable of managing challenging situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport moderate loads, as well as assist passengers with mobility needs.
  • Prior experience in commercial driving is highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as necessary.
