Job Description

Ryder is hiring for Permanent Full-Time Forklift Operators in Lansing, Michigan. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment, loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and performing cycle counting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift operator's license, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation
  • Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work using health and safety methods
