We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center. As an OT, you will play a vital role in providing transformative services to children with autism and their families.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, life-enhancing care to children with autism. We emphasize early intervention, comprehensive support, and developmentally appropriate learning to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism.
  • Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism.
  • Perform multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with speech therapists.
  • Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care.
  • Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families.
  • Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support on their journey.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field.
  • Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
