About the Role:
The Plant Care Specialist is responsible for the care and support of plant cultivation, adhering to established policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Planting, potting, thinning, weeding, watering, transplanting, and relocating plants
  • Identifying plant pests and potential threats, taking proactive measures to ensure plant health
  • Managing individual marijuana plants, providing each with the necessary attention
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Carrying out all tasks in the vegetative, flowering, and propagation areas
  • Documenting and tracking all data related to the vegetative or flowering rooms as instructed
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and operational readiness of vegetative, flowering, propagation, and drying rooms
  • Contributing to overall facility cleanliness
  • Executing all responsibilities in the mother and vegetative rooms
  • Assisting in the tracking of clones and mother plants
  • Performing maintenance on mother and vegetative plants
  • Alerting supervisors if growing conditions deviate from specifications
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with management and colleagues
  • Adhering to all operational guidelines, verbal instructions, training materials, and policies while performing duties
  • Physical Requirements: This role is physically demanding. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 75 pounds (125 pounds with assistance), and may need to walk or stand for extended periods, as well as stoop, bend, or crouch. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels is expected.
About You:
General Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check, as per state regulations - certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing laws.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in hydroponic vegetable production or bedding plant production is preferred.
  • Prior experience in nurseries, landscaping, or agriculture is advantageous
  • Experience in cannabis cultivation is beneficial
Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with automation systems is preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to work in a safety-conscious environment
