Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Norman Regional Health System. As a MICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and contributing to a culture of excellence and patient safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the care of critically ill patients, including those with complex medical and surgical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care or a related field; experience in a similar setting, such as an intensive care unit or emergency department, is highly desirable.
