Clinical Nurse Specialist - Outpatient Care
Location: Upper Marlboro, MD
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required.
• Immediate availability is essential.
• Proficiency in starting IVs is necessary.
• Experience in Ambulatory Surgical settings is preferred.
• Responsible for patient intake prior to procedures.
• Strong experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required.
• Comprehensive clinical knowledge and experience are crucial.
• Experience in pain management is advantageous.
• Ability to quickly acquire new clinical skills is important.
• Must hold an ACLS certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Rooming patients effectively.
• Experience in Pre-Operative and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings.
• Initiating IVs.
• Reviewing documentation and consents prior to procedures.
• Conducting patient histories.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Preparing patients for injections, IVs, and various procedures.
• Accurately entering patient information into the EMR system.
