Pitching Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Baseball Coach to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to our student-athletes, while also promoting academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of baseball strategies and game plans.
• Evaluate and assess student-athletes' performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
• Recruit and retain talented student-athletes, ensuring a competitive and diverse team roster.
• Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of baseball equipment and facilities, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Develop and lead training sessions, focusing on skill development and teamwork.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule games, tournaments, and practices, ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Represent the Commonwealth of Virginia in a professional and respectful manner, upholding the institution's values and reputation.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to student-athlete welfare and academic support.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Baseball Coach or Instructor, with a strong track record of success.
• Sound knowledge of various coaching techniques, including player development and team management.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with student-athletes, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• A passion for Baseball, with a commitment to promoting the sport's values and principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
