Korean Cuisine Chef

Job Summary:

Elevate Care is seeking a skilled Korean Cuisine Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Korean cuisine in accordance with our established standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review menus and develop recipes to ensure consistency and quality of food preparation.
• Assist in planning and implementing food service menus, including special diets and nutritional requirements.
• Coordinate food preparation and presentation to meet the needs of our residents and guests.
• Work collaboratively with our dietitian and culinary team to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Develop and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Requirements:

• One year of experience in food preparation or a related field, preferably in a hospital or nursing care facility.
• Illinois Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English in an understandable manner.
• Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• Ability to taste and smell food to determine quality and palatability.
