Founded in 2012, NIHAO has expanded from a modest group of fewer than 20 students to a thriving community of over 2,000 learners. We are thrilled to welcome a new Preschool Coordinator to our dynamic team.

Our unique educational approach integrates a blended curriculum that encompasses language vocabulary, exploration, sensory integration, and project-based learning. This methodology empowers young learners to take charge of their educational journeys.

About the Role

Are you an enthusiastic educator or aspiring educator with a passion for working with young children? NIHAO Chinese, a reputable language learning program, is in search of dedicated educators to enhance our team. With multiple locations across Southern California and a diverse student body ranging from preschool to AP Chinese, we offer exciting opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist children with classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support students from various language backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Manage small groups of students and guide them through activities.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, understanding, and commitment to ensure positive educational experiences for children.
  • Support teachers with classroom maintenance, diaper changes, and potty training.
  • Develop and implement mini-lessons that align with the main curriculum.
  • Engage with parents and school staff through in-person communication and electronic methods.
  • Work alongside fellow educators and curriculum specialists, sharing insights and providing constructive feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 ECE units or willingness to pursue further education.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to evaluate and address challenges when working with young children.
  • Familiarity with educational software and Google Suite is advantageous.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, effectively balancing responsibilities with children and other tasks.
  • Preference for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a preschool environment.
