Job Summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join its team in Manistee, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing equipment reliability through analysis and troubleshooting of failed equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage RCA Program: Develop and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) programs to identify and address equipment issues.
  • Define PdM Technologies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies for critical equipment.
  • Monitor Condition Monitoring Results: Analyze and take action on condition monitoring results to prevent equipment failures.
  • Develop PM Optimization Strategies: Work with PM Planners to develop and approve PM Optimization mitigation strategies.
  • Develop Asset Risk Management Strategy: Create and implement an Asset Risk Management Strategy to identify and mitigate equipment risks.
  • Develop and Manage PdM/NDT Process: Develop and manage a PdM/NDT process to identify and eliminate asset defects.
  • Responsible for Changes to Equipment Maintenance Plan: Analyze asset failure data and make recommendations for changes to the Equipment Maintenance Plan.
  • Ensure Data Integrity in CMMS: Work within assigned area to ensure data integrity in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support Monitoring and Improvement of MTBF and MTTR: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) on production equipment.
  • Perform Cost/Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost/benefit analysis to determine task frequency and optimize equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure Use of Condition Monitoring Information: Ensure that condition monitoring information is used in turn-around master plan decision-making processes.
  • Assist Maintenance Engineer with Reliability Analysis: Collaborate with Maintenance Engineers to analyze equipment reliability and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform Statistical Analysis on Machinery Failure Data: Analyze machinery failure data and work order closing codes to determine adjustments to Engineered Maintenance Strategy.
  • Develop Specific Procedures for Asset Fitness Verification: Create and implement specific procedures for asset fitness verification.
  • Develop Specific Operational Procedure Changes: Develop and implement specific operational procedure changes to prevent future system failures.
  • Design and Manage Asset Criticality Database: Develop and manage an asset criticality database and failure modes criticality database.
  • Develop and Utilize Specific Metrics for Process, System, Asset, and Component Reliability: Create and implement specific metrics for process, system, asset, and component reliability.
  • Support New Equipment Design for Reliability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new equipment design for reliability.
  • Review and/or Develop Machinery Modification Plans: Review and/or develop machinery modification plans for single-point failure scenarios.
  • Perform Quantitative Analysis on New Projects/Strategies: Conduct quantitative analysis on new projects/strategies to determine viability based on corporate standards.
  • Analyze Process and/or Failure Data: Analyze process and/or failure data to identify the need for improved craft skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 Years' Experience: A Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in an industrial reliability maintenance role is preferred.
  • Proficient Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills are required.
  • Project Management Experience: Project management experience and good organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Physical Requirements
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License: A valid Michigan driver's license is required.
  • Lift Up to 35 Pounds: The ability to lift up to 35 pounds is required.
  • Visual Acuity, Clear Speech & Hearing Ability, Cognitive Ability, Hand/Eye Coordination: Good visual acuity, clear speech and hearing ability, cognitive ability, and hand/eye coordination are required.
  • Perform Various Physical Activities: The ability to perform various physical activities to fulfill job requirements, including sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Proper Use of Personal Protective Equipment: The proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Good Hand/Eye Coordination and Vision: Good hand/eye coordination and vision are required to safely fulfill all in-plant job requirements.
  • Work in All Types of Weather Conditions: The ability to work in all types of weather conditions and industrial environments around process equipment is required.
  • Pass Required Background Check, Physical Examination, and Drug Screens: A background check, physical examination, and drug screens are required.
