Position Summary:
The Culinary Specialist is responsible for crafting delicious meals, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, within a vibrant dining establishment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in food preparation and serving areas to uphold safe food handling practices.
Maintain proper food storage and cooking temperatures by effectively managing ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
Monitor food quality and freshness through diligent inspection, inventory tracking, and stock rotation.
Prepare and season dishes according to established recipes or personal expertise.
Utilize various cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, fish, and vegetables.
Assess cooked items to confirm they meet the required doneness.
Prepare fruits and vegetables for service by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding.
Trim and slice meats for presentation.
Collaborate with management on menu development, taking into account cost considerations and special events.
- Supervise and guide kitchen personnel.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of several months to one year in a comparable position.
ServSafe Certification is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to monitor and coordinate tasks effectively.
Excellent active listening skills.
