Finance Director

Job Summary:

The Finance Director will oversee the overall management of finance and administration, including accounting, purchasing, property, information systems, food services, and facility maintenance. This role requires a strong leader who can plan, coordinate, and manage administrative and programmatic activities, develop and implement policies and procedures, and review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
• Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the finance and administration directorate and subordinate departments.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students.
• Establish financial acquisition controls and evaluate potential program expenditures.
• Direct the efforts of the procurement area in administration of subcontracts for services, materials, and rentals.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts, projections, and cost analyses as a basis for negotiating contracts for the center, support programs, and for renewal and amendments to existing contracts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience, 3 of which must be in a managerial capacity.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
