We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sparrow Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with technical tasks associated with dispensing and billing medications.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process prescriptions, following established dispensing policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable in insurance billing for accuracy and compliance with all standing regulations.
- Compounding of Non-sterile medications up to and including Moderate Compounding as defined by USP.
- Aids in store inventory preparation and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
- Serves as a positive representative of the Pharmacy to all department customers, providing quality, compassionate, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
- Must be fully licensed in the state of Michigan as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician, with two years college experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
