Recreational Therapist Supervisor

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating recreational activities for residents in a forensic unit. The incumbent will provide assistance in directing and planning of recreational activities, cross-train employees in all areas of the unit, and monitor and maintain employee KRONOS on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate recreational activities for residents in a forensic unit
- Provide assistance in directing and planning of recreational activities
- Cross-train employees in all areas of the unit
- Monitor and maintain employee KRONOS on a daily basis
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline
- Three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification
- Experience working as a supervisor
- Experience working with coordinating programs
- Experience working with treatment teams and hospital setting
- Experience working with clients, residents, and patients that are mentally ill
Working Conditions:
This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual /Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations is required.
