We are currently seeking applications for adjunct faculty to instruct in our Nursing Program, specifically in the areas of Obstetrics and Pediatrics. Our RN-BSN program, which has received AHNCC endorsement, focuses on a concept-based curriculum that emphasizes caring science. We are looking for candidates who exhibit a strong commitment to evidence-based teaching practices in nursing, a passion for education, and a dedication to fostering diversity and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Delivering instruction in OB/Peds theory, lab, simulation, and/or clinical courses within the BSN pre-licensure program, utilizing both traditional and innovative clinical formats.
- Potentially teaching additional courses based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Maine or eligibility for licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher, necessary for teaching theoretical components.
  • Recent clinical experience in Obstetrics and Pediatrics within the last five years.
  • Strong commitment to enhancing student learning in mental health settings.
  • Experience with modern teaching technologies and distance education methodologies.
Preferred:
  • Three or more years of collegiate teaching experience.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or higher.
  • National certification as an Advanced Holistic Nurse (AHNCC).
  • Experience with concept-based curricula focusing on caring science.
  • Background in simulation-based teaching.
Compensation: Salary is determined per credit hour and is based on qualifications and experience.
