Patient Care Details

As a Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse patient population, including:

  • Adults
  • Geriatrics
  • Patients with General Respiratory Failure
  • Cardiac and Renal Conditions
  • CIWA and GI Issues
Unit Specific Information

The role involves working in a mixed Telemetry and IMCU setting across two floors:

  • IMCU: 1:3 patient ratio on 3E
  • Telemetry: 1:4 patient ratio on 2E

Note: IMCU LEVEL RNs are required for this PCU.

Skills and Competencies

Essential skills include:

  • Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
  • Administration of Blood Products
  • Procedural Sedation
  • Chest Tube Management
  • Tracheostomy Care

Special procedures and unit details include:

  • Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization
  • Bipap and Breathing Treatments
  • Cardioversion/Defibrillation
  • Cooling/Warming Blanket Usage
  • Obtaining 12 Lead EKGs
