Job Title: Patient Access Team Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Team Representative to join our team at the University of Vermont Medical Group, NY LLC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and verify patient demographic information
  • Accurately record patient information into our electronic medical record system
  • Distribute patient information in a confidential and secure manner
  • Schedule tests and follow-up appointments with providers
  • Monitor provider schedules and ensure seamless patient flow
  • Answer phone calls and document patient interactions in the EMR
  • Order medical supplies and communicate with ancillary departments
  • Manage referrals to specialty practices and obtain prior authorizations
  • Update patient insurance information and ensure accurate billing
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to accurately type 30 words per minute
  • Minimum of two years customer service experience or receptionist work experience
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems and practice management software
