Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Clinical Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing individual and group counseling sessions, facilitating skills-based and psycho-educational groups, and overseeing milieu management.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individual counseling sessions and facilitate group therapy sessions with adolescents and young adults.
- Oversee milieu management, including coordinating the stage system and scheduling earned privileges.
- Provide clinical support to the program through milieu management and modeling appropriate interventions with staff.
- Develop treatment goals and coordinate services in collaboration with clients' treatment teams.
- Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention/management as needed.
- Provide substance use education to clients, families, and the community as needed.
- Complete required documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Provide service coordination, case management, and discharge planning support as needed.
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Distribute weekly action plans for each client to staff.
- Represent Newport Healthcare at meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Credentialed as a mental health or substance abuse counselor preferred.
- Experience working with individual and group therapy with young adults/adolescents required.
- Experience with mental health, substance abuse, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
