Position Overview

Assist the Operations Director at the designated distribution facility by managing warehouse functions and overseeing all facets of daily production and order processing.

  • Operational Efficiency - Develops and implements operational protocols for tasks such as verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, managing materials, and maintaining accurate warehouse inventory. Direct and assess daily operations to guarantee that order processing and production are executed with precision on a daily basis. Collaborate with the Operations Director to address daily challenges and ensure timely and accurate order processing for operations that may handle between 2,200 to 10,000 lines daily, generating revenue ranging from 136K to 1.2M each day.
  • Compliance Management - When necessary, manage all transactions as the Certified Designated Representative (CDR) and ensure adherence to accurate procedures and recordkeeping to maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Human Resource Development - Facilitate all human resource functions at the local facility. This includes assisting in the recruitment and staffing of all roles, supporting the performance evaluation process, administering compensation as needed, and overseeing training and development initiatives. Foster a workplace culture that encourages positive employee relations while managing access to confidential information.
  • Financial Oversight - Supervise daily and ongoing expenditures to ensure efficient use of financial resources. Prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment replacements. Coordinate, monitor, and expedite freight for inter-company and distributor contacts. Collaborate with carriers to resolve freight discrepancies.
  • Inventory Oversight - Supervise workflows and processes to ensure accurate movement of products from trailers to storage racks to shipping areas. Responsible for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
  • Sales Support Coordination - Assist local sales representatives and leadership in delivering exceptional customer service. Address current business needs by providing prompt responses to service failures and customer inquiries. Collaborate with the Operations Director to resolve customer complaints as recorded through the operational service improvement process.
  • Safety and Hygiene Management - Oversee the activities of the work team to ensure adherence to safety protocols and practices. Monitor the facility to ensure that proper housekeeping standards are maintained. Provide guidance to the safety committee.
