Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter/Welder to join our team at Ketjen Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of piping system repairs, fabrication, maintenance welding and cutting in an industrial plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from engineering drawings, sketches, and other specifications to perform piping system repairs and installations.
  • Position and secure parts using jigs and fixtures as appropriate.
  • Ability to weld in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes, with a focus on producing high-quality welds.
  • Select and set up welding equipment and controls to regulate gas pressure, voltage, or amperage.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of welds, taking into account the function of the joint.
  • Sketch piping systems for repair or new installation, and prepare and fabricate piping systems for welding.
  • Perform piping system repairs, including valve and component replacements, and properly assemble and torque bolted flange assemblies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Craft NCCER or equivalent with a minimum of four years' experience preferred.
  • Possess good communication skills for interaction with all chemical plant employees.
  • Ability to receive verbal and written direction, including plant safety rules, policies, and procedures, and implement without direct supervision.
