Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized equipment.
2. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tune-ups.
3. Perform diagnostic tests on various parts and systems to verify proper functionality.
4. Identify mechanical issues through visual inspections and computer diagnostics.
5. Assess critical components and systems using established checklists.
6. Repair or replace faulty parts and systems, including brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and engines.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills typically associated with completion of specialized training.
3. Experience demonstrating a solid understanding of the primary duties of the position, usually acquired through an apprenticeship or similar role for a minimum of 2 years.
5. Ability to obtain a CDL license (class A or B) within 6 months.
6. A.S.E. certification and/or technical school training is preferred but not mandatory.
7. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle history review, and drug screening.
