Salary and Benefits:

As a lecturer at California State University San Marcos, you can expect a salary commensurate with your degree level and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, which is $4,530 - $6,056 per full-time month for the Lecturer A - AY classification. This position also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.

Job Description:

The Biological Sciences department at California State University San Marcos is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach a variety of courses in biology. As a lecturer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering course materials, assessing student learning, and contributing to the department's academic programs. This is a temporary, part-time position with the possibility of rehiring.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree or terminal degree in the area of instruction or in a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching. You must also be able to work in the State of California, as working outside of California is a condition of employment.
