Job Summary:

Alphia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in an industrial environment
* Maintain and repair equipment such as switches, sensors, valves, actuators, conveyor belts, electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and power supplies
* Understand machinery operation, maintenance procedures, and PLC-based controls
* Develop a preventative and proactive mindset to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes

Requirements:

* 2+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting in an industrial environment
* Ability to lift 50 pounds with regularity
* Strong understanding of machinery operation, maintenance procedures, and PLC-based controls
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLCs, automation, and instrumentation
* Proficient in welding
* Experience working with manufacturing equipment such as driers, fluid pumps, conveyors, instrumentation, ovens, motors, fans, extruders, and mill grinders
* Experience in food or beverage manufacturing

Work Environment:

* 12-hour, 4-5-day shift environment with a customer service orientation to plant operations
* Pre-employment background/drug screening and e-file background testing are required
* Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, including appropriate safety equipment apply
