Airport Firefighter Paramedic

Job Summary:This is a skilled firefighting position that involves combating, extinguishing, and preventing aircraft, structural, ground equipment, and other fires. The successful candidate will also be responsible for answering emergency calls, operating and maintaining fire department equipment, and participating in training and rescue activities.
Responsibilities:- Combating and extinguishing fires in aircraft, structures, and other areas
- Responding to emergency calls and providing emergency medical services
- Operating and maintaining fire department equipment and apparatus
- Participating in training and rescue activities
- Care and maintenance of fire department property and equipment
- High school graduate or equivalent
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications
- NFPA 1001 Firefighter II certification
- NFPA 472, Hazardous Materials-Operations certification
- NFPA 1003 Airport Firefighter certification or completion of an FAA 40-hour approved course
- Ohio State Paramedic certification
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Pass FBI fingerprint-based criminal history records check
