Job Title: Survey/CADD Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Survey/CADD Technician to join our team. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for the overall completion of the data processing phase of specific field survey projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform topographic plotting, terrain modeling, plat preparation, note reduction, and design file generation
  • Conduct office survey activities in accordance with Minimum Standards of Practice for Surveying
  • Research property owner and utility records
  • Operate and supervise the use of all survey equipment, including electronic data collectors, levels, electronic total station, GPS, and survey vehicles
  • Perform office computations necessary for the completion of task assignments, including QA/QC
  • Track job progress
  • Complete data collector maintenance
  • Coordinate information for stakeout services
  • Analyze raw data for mathematical closure and geometric accuracy
  • Prepare finished grade sheets, topographic maps, records of survey, corner records, and other survey reports
  • Communicate the daily progress of the crew towards the project goals and/or accomplishments with the office staff
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Skills in coordinate geometry and trigonometry
  • Extensive knowledge in field surveying techniques, including data collection, traverse adjustments, GPS surveys, and construction stakeouts
  • Familiarity with third-party software for data reduction and drafting, including AutoCAD or Carlson preferred and MicroStation
  • Familiarity with Subsurface Utility Designation and/or Test Holes
