Job Title: Title Closer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Title Closer to join our team at G L Homes of Florida Corporation. As a Title Closer, you will be responsible for handling all post-closing functions, including preparing lender packages, disbursing closing funds, and recording closing documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and review closing documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper signatures.
  • Coordinate the disbursement of closing funds and review lender packages.
  • Organize, copy, scan, and email large loan packages.
  • Prepare and timely ship loan packages for return to lenders.
  • Verify documents prior to recording, including notary acknowledgements, legal descriptions, and lien information.
  • Record closing documents in various County Clerk's offices.
  • Prepare and transmit Loan and Owners' Policies.
  • Prepare endorsements to Policy, when applicable.
  • Scan/upload files to software as needed, including lender packages, closing documents, and final file scan.
  • Answer post-closing questions from lenders, buyers, attorneys, realtors, insurance companies, and others.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years' experience in title insurance and post closings.
  • License in Title Required (or must be willing to attain license within 6 months of hire).
  • Experience with Resware and Simplifile preferred but not required.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management, and attendance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient/Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Work Environment:

The usual environment is in a business office with a moderate noise level.
