Position Overview

The Culinary Support Specialist will work under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager and the Food Services Director. This role involves preparing meals in accordance with established recipes and instructions. The individual may also assist with various meal programs and events, ensuring alignment with the department's vision and the church's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and organized kitchen that meets all health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers involved in meal preparation.
  • Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and conducting monthly stock assessments.
  • Support the recruitment and training of kitchen volunteers.
  • Help prepare all assigned meals and catering services.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness through a regular maintenance schedule.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with operational tasks, including financial management.
  • Follow instructions from the Kitchen Manager and Food Services Director.
  • Step in for the Kitchen Manager during their absence as needed.
  • Participate in planning and executing kitchen operations for special events.
