Recreational Activities Coordinator II

Overview:
The Recreational Activities Coordinator II is responsible for upholding the therapeutic environment for patients participating in CL/TR activity programs.

This role primarily involves evening and weekend shifts, focusing on the planning and execution of social recreational activities tailored to meet the psychosocial and developmental needs of the inpatient population.


Key Responsibilities:


Ensures the quality and effectiveness of patient services by adhering to all departmental and Institute policies and procedures.

Facilitates the orientation, adjustment, and continuous support for patients and their families.

Designs and implements developmentally suitable social and recreational group activities during evenings and weekends.

Maintains a secure and therapeutic environment in all patient areas and programs within the Institute and/or other community facilities.

Communicates the mission, goals, and philosophical foundations of the department, professional group, and/or Institute as needed.

Assists in the planning and coordination of special events, activities, and outings as appropriate.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, Education, Recreation, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of experience working with pediatric populations in hospital, structured recreation, or educational settings.
