Job Summary: Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drafter to join our team in the shipbuilding industry. As a key member of our detail design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate 2D and 3D models of ship structures using AutoCAD and Ship Constructor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 2D and 3D models of ship structures, including ceiling and stiffener plates
  • Assist with drawing revisions and updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with the detail design team to update models and issue changes
  • Extract 3D models to 2D drawings for manufacturing purposes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in shipbuilding or a related industry
  • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Ship Constructor, and MS Excel
  • Experience with Navis and Bluebeam/Power PDF a plus
