Job Description
The Basic Paramedic role at AMR is a critical position that requires individuals to provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients. This involves assessing call situations, utilizing advanced medical equipment and procedures, and communicating effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
- Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care.
- Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
- Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
- Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic Certification
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
