Position Title: Licensed Speech Therapist

Work Schedule: This is a supplemental position requiring weekend availability. On-call hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Role Summary:

The Speech Language Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing medically prescribed treatment strategies to assist individuals of all ages facing challenges related to speech, language, literacy, voice, cognition, or swallowing.

A Typical Day Includes:
  • Assessing patient capabilities in line with the standards set by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Creating and executing therapy plans that align with ASHA guidelines.
  • Evaluating patient requirements and modifying care plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Collecting relevant patient data through comprehensive histories and addressing specific concerns or goals.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Completing continuing education to maintain licensure and employment at Pullman Regional Hospital.
  • Documenting patient interactions in accordance with industry standards and ensuring timely completion of all records.
  • Participating in regular staff meetings.
  • Adhering to departmental and hospital safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Actively contributing to a safe work environment by identifying and addressing safety issues in collaboration with management.
Qualifications:

This Role is Ideal for You If You Possess:
  • A Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • An active Washington State License or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
  • Strong communication skills with both colleagues and patients.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
