Our healthcare facility is equipped with 33 operational beds, an intensive care unit, a 24-hour emergency department recognized as a Level IV trauma center, a maternity unit, and advanced diagnostic technologies. We also feature surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services, and a fitness and rehabilitation center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and accurately transcribe or verify medication orders in the pharmacy system.
  • Compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals with precision.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for potential contraindications, interactions, and appropriateness.
  • Provide timely and accurate medication information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Engage proactively with medical staff to resolve drug therapy issues.
  • Document all clinical activities and interventions thoroughly.
  • Maintain the hospital formulary and minimize non-formulary procurements.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance medication turnaround times and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff members.
  • May serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
  • Contribute to the organization’s quality improvement and patient safety goals.
  • Maintain professional competency to meet the evolving needs of the facility.
  • Ensure accurate records of controlled substances.

Qualifications:
  • B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • BLS & ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
  • Completion of educational requirements in compounding sterile preparations or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
  • One year of experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy.
