About This Role

You will be responsible for updating and maintaining electronic patient records, assisting in transitioning hard copy records to digital format, and managing Physician inbox and prioritizing tasks assigned via ONCO EMR.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
  • Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMR
  • Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the medical inventory, placing orders for new materials as needed, recording patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment, cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to patient appointments, escorting patients to exam rooms, recording patient interview, history, and chief complaint, providing patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets, preparing patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests, assisting physician with exams, preparing and administering Injections, Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens, performing basic lab tests, performing EKGs, and administering and documenting medication under a physician's order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error.

We Require:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Current NYS LPN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals, experience with EMR's, and reliable transportation to any of NYH location for patient care needs.
