About the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, GA on an as-needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
  • Receive and store incoming deliveries of medication and supplies.
  • Demonstrate an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorder them accordingly.
  • Answer the phone and communicate effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Perform tasks related to sterile compounding, including but not limited to clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space.
  • Prepare and deliver medications to designated locations based on end-user need.
  • Maintain stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s).
  • All experience levels considered.

Work Schedule:

  • 16-20 hours/week.
  • Weekdays and Weekends 7am-3:30pm or 8:30am-5pm, shifts may vary.
