Platform Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform Systems Engineer with a strong background in cybersecurity to join our team at Idea Entity. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable platform systems that support our business-critical applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement platform systems that meet business requirements and ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand platform requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform system integration, configuration, and testing to ensure seamless operation of platform systems.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and standards throughout the platform systems architecture.
- Conduct risk assessments and security reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline platform deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
- Orchestrate platform systems using modern DevOps practices to achieve continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and address performance and security issues.
- Develop incident response plans and procedures to effectively respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Sec+, CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in platform systems engineering, with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable platform architectures using cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including secure system design, access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and endpoint security solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in platform systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
