Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Baker to join our team at Farmer Joe's Fresh Market LLC. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods that meet our exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock bakery workstations to ensure efficient production.
  • Rotate products to maintain freshness and adhere to quality control schedules.
  • Prepare and bake fresh products from scratch, meeting our standards for quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from safety hazards.
  • Restock and assist with inventory as needed, and execute merchandising standards consistent with our company's guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Food Handling/Safety Certification (preferred but not required).
  • Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Experience in a bakery environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Strong creative background, with the ability to suggest alternatives and be open to feedback.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety, including knowledge of the danger zone, temperature control, storage, and logs.
  • Strong knife skills and other kitchen utensils.
  • Expertise in baking.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to give clear instructions in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Able to create a motivational environment and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to physically lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to push and pull equipment of various sizes and weights.
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility, as well as bend, reach, twist, and squat.
  • Ability to work in hot, noisy, and close conditions.
  • Able to work with various fresh products without negative allergic consequences.
