Daemen University is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our Physical Therapy Program as an Assistant/Associate Professor. This is a full-time, 12-month tenure track faculty position that will start on January 22, 2025, for the spring semester or September 2, 2025, for the '25/'26 academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree program. The DPT curriculum is a 6-year, 3+3 program that includes a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science/DPT program. The Physical Therapy Department is a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters strong inter-professional efforts within the University and local medical community.
We are looking for a candidate with expertise in pediatric and/or adult neuromuscular physical therapy. A completed academic doctorate (e.g., PhD, EdD, DHSc) in physical therapy or a related field, along with an advanced specialty certification (e.g., PCS, NCS, GCS), is preferred. Candidates may be considered if they are near completion of their academic doctorate. Previous teaching experience and evidence of scholarship are strongly preferred.
